I’m a sucker for weird clothing design details. A crazy print, subtle texture, and unique design will usually catch my, and no exceptions were made last week in H&M.
Their designer line is carried at select locations, in Toronto this means the Eaton Centre, Yorkdale, and Bloor stores. They have surprisingly nice stuff, and while it isn’t cheap, there are some truly beautiful pieces. Plus, it’s part of a “conscious collection” which boasts using recycled materials.
Although ethical labour hasn’t entered H&M’s new marketing discussion, their efforts toward sustainable shopping are a step in the right direction. Shoppers can now drop off a bag (or bags) of used clothing at H&M locations in order to receive a voucher that can be used in stores. Not a bad deal if you’re looking to do some spring cleaning!
