Holiday Flick: Love Actually

My friends have always raved about Love Actually. British, Christmas-y, and an ensemble cast mean there’s so much to love. I’d seen bits and pieces but had never actually sat down and watched the whole thing through.

I decided that this year it was time to sit down and finally figure out how all these people were connected.

The film did not disappoint, and while it didn’t shoot to the top of my all-time favourites, it definitely will be revisited come next Christmas.

Colin Firth and Prime Minister Hugh Grant in the same movie make it hard to fail. Plus, I’m a big fan of turtlenecks (not even ironically).

Watching it for the first time after all these years definitely provided some laughs – pretty sure I’d be totally creeped out if I was Keira Knightley, LOL Rick!, and airport security sure has changed – but love remains, actually, universal/confusing/right/wrong/tough/wonderful.

If you’re like me and have been holding out – give in.

And wow, just figured out the kid is in Game of Thrones. Knew he looked familiar:
