Fast Food: Pita Pizzas

Everyone who’s been a student or anyone who’s busy knows the value of a speedy meal.

Easy prep, quick clean up and a filling feast are top priority for people with a stack of readings and no time to spare.

One of my favourite fast meals is the pita pizza.

I use pasta sauce after a night of fresh pasta (I prefer to make my own from a jar of strained tomatoes, but the jarred stuff works just as well) for the “pizza” sauce on a high protein pita.

Pretty self-explanatory from there: top with cheese and whatever other delicious toppings you want or have on hand.

Pop in the oven (on 350 for 5-10 minutes depending on your oven) and ENJOY.

Be careful, I’ve burnt the roof of my mouth on these more than once.

Wash the pan, cutting board and plates (if you’re that classy) and you’re ready to go.
